Offshore Construction Superintendent

PES is accepting resumes/applications for the position of Offshore Construction Superintendent.

Summary:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities and projects of workers and their helpers. Ensures that all procedures are followed and that all assigned employees are performing their duties as directed.

Responsibilities:
• Analyzes bids, blueprints and job completion dates for job assignments to fully comprehend the total scope of the project.
• Instructs and directs assigned personnel to work safely and efficiently and to follow established procedures.
• Supervises the progress of assigned jobs/projects each day to ensure safety and proper working conditions on the job site.
• Interacts with client representatives.
• Recommends improvements in programs, procedures, schedules and personnel to increase job/project quality and efficiency in order to meet deadlines.
• Evaluates and plans installation and construction of equipment and structures as well as estimating material and worker requirements to complete the job/project.
• Maintains adequate records regarding time worked by crew, T & M tickets and equipment utilized on the job weekly as specified by company policy.
• Reports any problems with assigned projects, equipment needs, material defects, safety hazards and personnel to the General Manager, Safety Manager or Human Resources Manager immediately.
• Works various schedules offshore depending on project and client requirements.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), inter-personal skills.
• At least 10 years experience within the Oil & Gas Industry specifically in the construction area in a supervisory role.
• Must have a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card.

Offshore Pipe Welder

PES is accepting applications to hire for the position of Offshore Pipe Welder.

SUMMARY
The welder uses hand welding or flame cutting equipment to weld or join metal components/piping or to fill holes, indentations or seams of fabricated metal products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Uses certified procedures to weld pipe as required.
• Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.
• Makes every weld as if it was to be a 100% weld free from undercut over welding.
• Cleans all welds free from B.B.’s and slags.
• Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Creates weld tickets daily.
• Reads and understands blue prints and ISO’s.
• Works various schedules offshore depending on project and client requirements.

EXPERIENCE
• At least 3 years of pipe welding experience with a minimum of 2 years working in the Oil and Gas industry at offshore locations.

LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS
• TWIC cards are required for offshore work locations.

Offshore Pipe Fitter

PES is accepting applications to hire for the position of Offshore Pipe Fitter.

SUMMARY
The pipe fitter is responsible for cutting and fitting pipe for welders to weld.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Aligns parts, using jack, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammer.
• Marks refrence points onto floor or face block and transposes them to workpiece using measuring devices, squares, chalk and soapstone.
• Gives directions to welder to build up low spots or short pieces with weld.
• Straightens warped or bent parts using sledge, hand torch, straightening press or bulldozer.
• Removes high spots and cuts bevels using hand files, portable grinders and cutting torch.
• Examines blueprints and plans sequence of operation, applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining and metal thickness.
• Assembles and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints.
• Puts all information on the pipe before cutting and transfer all item numbers onto cut sheet and carry over item numbers to drop pipe.
• Inspects, examines and tests installed systems and pipe lines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation or other methods.
• Plans pipe system layout, installation or repair according to specifications.
• Reads and understands blue prints and ISO’s.

EXPERIENCE
• At least 3 years of pipe fitting experience with a minimum of 2 years working in the Oil and Gas industry on offshore locations.
• TWIC is required to work at offshore locations.

Responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolding to provide work platforms and handrails on building or industrial sites or for temporary structures such as stages, seating and catwalks.

QA / QC Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for working with construction professionals during the production process often approving the quality from raw materials to a final product. Inspectors are responsible for a final in-depth inspection once projects are completed for conformance to customer and industry standards, before signing off and approving the product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform in-process and final inspections as well as system and process audits on all types of fabrication, welding and assembly of pressure vessels, piping, structural steel and process equipment
• Interpret ASME, API 1104, AWS D1.1, and similar industry codes to ensure continuous production of products consistent with Performance Energy’s quality policies and established industry standards
• Follow established quality control procedures and process as outlined in the facility quality manual
• Implement inspection criteria and procedures and coordinate with Project Management and production to ensure the on-time delivery of products
• Provide inspection activity for product throughout production cycle
• Apply total quality management tools and approaches set forth by the quality management system
• Provide QC inspections at field locations during pre-commissioning and start up of equipment as directed; provide QC inspections at vendor and subcontractor facilities
• Prepare, maintain and approve required Quality Control (QC) forms and documentation packages during inspection
• Work with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased items for company use
• Provide the Quality Control interface with customers and third party inspectors
• Coordinate activities of NDE and other third party vendor activities onsite
• Investigate and correct customer complaints regarding quality during fabrication
• Play an active role on quality management teams within the organization
• Implement and support quality policies, processes, and procedures detailed by Quality Control or Quality Assurance
• Verify procedures per job specifications
• Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
• Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
• Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Associates degree in Welding Technology or Engineering Discipline preferred
• 5+ years experience in QC, welding and fabrication
• 5+ years quality control, manufacturing / fabrication or field installation supervisory experience preferred
• AWS/CWI – Certified Welding Inspector preferred
• Intermediate level written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform basic level mathematical skills
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Project & Outlook
• Experience operating standard office equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to utilize inspection tools
• Must possess detailed knowledge of engineering and design, manufacturing and fabrication, assembly and quality control principles
• Must have working knowledge of various industry codes and local regulations, ANSI, ASME, ASNT, ASTM, AWS, NACE, API, ASIC and SSPC national codes, etc.

Maintenance Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanic is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance, repairing and troubleshooting cranes, vehicles, air compressors, heavy duty equipment and diesel pumps.

• Check the maintenance records and test equipment before shipping or sending to various job sites
