Summary:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities and projects of workers and their helpers. Ensures that all procedures are followed and that all assigned employees are performing their duties as directed.

Responsibilities:
• Analyzes bids, blueprints and job completion dates for job assignments to fully comprehend the total scope of the project.
• Instructs and directs assigned personnel to work safely and efficiently and to follow established procedures.
• Supervises the progress of assigned jobs/projects each day to ensure safety and proper working conditions on the job site.
• Interacts with client representatives.
• Recommends improvements in programs, procedures, schedules and personnel to increase job/project quality and efficiency in order to meet deadlines.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

SUMMARY
The welder uses hand welding or flame cutting equipment to weld or join metal components/piping or to fill holes, indentations or seams of fabricated metal products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Uses certified procedures to weld pipe as required.
• Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.
• Makes every weld as if it was to be a 100% weld free from undercut over welding.
• Cleans all welds free from B.B.’s and slags.
• Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Creates weld tickets daily.
• Reads and understands blue prints and ISO’s.

EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY
The pipe fitter is responsible for cutting and fitting pipe for welders to weld.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Aligns parts, using jack, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammer.
• Marks refrence points onto floor or face block and transposes them to workpiece using measuring devices, squares, chalk and soapstone.
• Gives directions to welder to build up low spots or short pieces with weld.
• Straightens warped or bent parts using sledge, hand torch, straightening press or bulldozer.
• Removes high spots and cuts bevels using hand files, portable grinders and cutting torch.
• Examines blueprints and plans sequence of operation, applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining and metal thickness.
• Assembles and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints.
• Puts all information on the pipe before cutting and transfer all item numbers onto cut sheet and carry over item numbers to drop pipe.
• Inspects, examines and tests installed systems and pipe lines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation or other methods.
• Plans pipe system layout, installation or repair according to specifications.
• Reads and understands blue prints and ISO’s.

POSITION SUMMARY
You will serve in a key role with your knowledge and experience in ensuring the proper functioning of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controls used in conjunction with electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. You will be required to take instruction in order to plan and execute daily activities to support field operations such as maintenance, along with performing testing, inspection, calibration, installation, and repair of safety systems and equipment as required by law and customer policy.

• Perform in-process and final inspections as well as system and process audits on all types of fabrication, welding and assembly of pressure vessels, piping, structural steel and process equipment

• Follow established quality control procedures and process as outlined in the facility quality manual
