Rope Access Technician Dustin Schell recently earned high praise from a participant in a SPRAT Level I rope access course for delivering exceptional instruction. The feedback highlighted Dustin’s professionalism, technical expertise and ability to build confidence and competence in students with limited or no prior rope access experience.Throughout the course, Dustin clearly demonstrated techniques, explained proper methods and reasoning and provided practical solutions when challenges arose. During hands-on climbing exercises, he quickly identified technique issues and offered clear, actionable feedback—often while supervising multiple climbers at once—allowing students to progress safely and efficiently.
In the classroom, Dustin focused on building a strong foundation of understanding rather than simply preparing students for a test. He maintained clear boundaries between Level I requirements and advanced concepts while offering helpful insight into the broader discipline.
The participant described the training as a “world-class experience” and strongly recommended both PES’ SPRAT program and Dustin’s instruction. Congratulations to Dustin for representing PES with excellence and helping develop skilled rope access technicians.
