While Louisiana summers are known for intense heat, this season will feel noticeably cooler for the Coastal Restoration team working in the Resilience Center of Excellence. PES Insulation Solutions, together with the Coastal Restoration crew and our partners at Natrx, collaborated to improve working conditions by installing new interior insulation.
Led by Insulator Devin McCarthy, the team installed 20,000 square feet of insulation inside the building. The results have been immediate and positive.
Project Manager Russ Gisclair shared, “We’re seeing a 10–15-degree difference in multiple areas. Today, temperatures in Amelia reached 91 degrees, and the shop still feels comfortable. I remember last summer — once it hit 90, it was rough. The insulation crew chose the right product and did an excellent job with the install.”
This project was driven by our commitment to take care of our people. Feedback from employees about high temperatures prompted the research and planning that made this upgrade possible. Combined with supply fans, the new insulation will help ensure safer, more comfortable, and more productive workdays all summer long.
This is a great example of how listening to our teams and making targeted improvements can have an immediate impact on safety, morale, and performance.
